Day 40- Faith

I’ve really been thinking about today’s topic.  I’ve been racking my mind about how in the world one goes about taking a photo of my faith.  As I was thinking, the verse John 20:29 came to me, and has stuck there all day.
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
How do I take a picture of something I have not seen? Well, as I read The Bible, and learn more and more about Him, the more and more I CAN see Him.  I see Him in a brand new baby, in the beautiful sunset, or in our paycheck that we get every two weeks. I can see little miracles that can only be explained by Jesus’ workings.  I can see him in all of these things because I know he created it all, and he provides for us. BUT if I take a photo of any of these things and post it on my blog, do I run the risk of  someone seeing those and interpreting them as God is the Sun, or God is Money, or we are our own God?  That is beyond NOT true! So for today, there is no photo, because blessed are those who believe without seeing!!!

Day 38- Feet

The boys like getting home and doing absolutly nothing after being in school for 7 full hours.  I agree with them. Sometimes you just need some down time.  Unfortunatly for my couch, the boys feel the need to use every single blanket and to put their feet everywhere.  It’s pretty cute though.

Day 37- Diamond

After a crazy busy week we stopped by the lake on the way home from church today.  I thought it would just be nice to do something unscheduled.  The weather today was absolutely beautiful. I was sitting on the dock, and the sun was hitting the little ripples on the water. It always looks like there are millions of diamonds floating on the water.  Unfortunately, when I got home and uploaded the photos, I found I didn’t get the full effect of the sparkles.  But it was worth the nice down time we had.

Day 35- Gold

I have been so busy that I haven’t even been home.  I forgot my camera at home one day so no pictures that day. The photo challenge has been last thing on my plate for the last 3 + days.  Fred had a mid-week game that was away, a regular Saturday game, Saturday was also  State History Day,  I had a doctor’s appointment, and a million other things that needed to get done this week. Obviously spring has begun in our house!

Like I mentioned before Saturday was State History Day. Gage got first place at regional, and got to go to state. It was pretty easy to get first at regional because he was the only entry in his division. At state there were 15 entries.  He was a little nervous, but he was confident and brave when it was his turn in front of the judges.  All of his time and hard work paid off and he placed 4th out of 15!  He wishes he would have done better, but I couldn’t be happier for him.  I know the ribbon is technically green, but it has gold on it so that’s what I’m going with!
