I’m so very thankful for the 3 guys God has chosen for me.

****WARNING: Bragging Mother Post Ahead!!!****

Last year Fred tried out Bible Quizzing. He was very hesitant, but we told him if he absolutely hated it we would never ever say the word quizzing ever again. He ended up loving it. This year both the boys are doing it. We were going to make Bam wait until 3rd grade, but our church has an awesome 1-2 grade team. The young ones have the same questions and everything.  They had their first quiz meet of the year this weekend. They both did a great job. They are very good study buddies. And it is all them. We do not sit with them or make them do any of their homework. It is all self guided.

During the meet they have a few breaks. It’s hard to sit still for 48 questions! It’s even hard for the parents. It ends up taking about 1.5-2 hours.

Fred’s team got 2nd place out of, I believe 40. Bam’s team got 8th place, but no trophies for that. Maybe next time.

They were so proud of themselves and each other. They both got perfect on their 20 memory verses.

AnnmorisonPark (3)
Trips to lots of parks

famcamping (52)
We went camping with my family. The boys spent more time in the water than the fish did. Not that we caught any.

Harvest09
Lots of produce from our garden. This is my first potato harvest. This was ONE plant! I had 5 plants total. Tomatoes were not so good this year.

OwyheeStatePark (34)
Many drives to the desert.

One of them was to Qwyhee State park in Oregon. The boys want to move there. I told them not to forget to write.

Another of them was to Celebration Park. Fred ended up going back here a few weeks later when school started for a field trip.

So as you can tell, I kinda took a little blogcation. The summer goes by just so quick, so I really tried to spend as much time with the boys as I could, and then once school started it’s been go go go. So, now that the dust has settled, I hope to get back to posting again!

So we just got back from vacation…. that post is coming later…. and Fred promply got sick. We got home from church where his fever started to rise again. He went to lay in my bed for a while, and when he came out to use the bathroom he came over, and said “I think my fever broke. I’m all sweaty.”

I had to look away so I wouldn’t laugh in his bright red, sweaty face!

My life has once again been put in overdrive, as another school year is coming to a close. Only three more days until I get my children back for a meesly 2 months. I will treasure these 2 months! They always go by so quickly. Three more days.

only 23 actual days of school left. YEAH!!! This makes me smile. I am so ready for summer break.

Also my Easter post will be up shortly.

I cannot put any words together to truly express my gratitude towards my Saviour, Jesus. But this song did it for me. Please read each and every word and remember that all he did and went through was for you. Bless His name!

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!

I love to read. I tend to get a little wrapped up in most books. My kids don’t get to eat real meals until the last page of the book has been read. Serious neglect happens when I have my nose in a book. Since going back to work my reading time has dramaticly been scaled back. This saddens me greatly, but I really like to sleep, and I have to choose one or another. I have noticed lately that I’m really not finding anything that sparks my interest. I might be willing to go out on a limb and read something not in my ‘normal’ genres. So my question to you blog readers, what books should I check out. I’m open to your suggestions.
